Fear and trust

I often have trust issues with God. I say why did this happen, why did a Christian do this, how could it end like this… But, I am remembering today that here and now is not the end. God is with us through eternity. We have not been and will not be abandoned!

Evil is real. Evil is here, and God is here. Evil will not prevail. God has won, he is restoring, and all things will be restored. We live in this in between time, waiting for full restoration when Jesus returns. We are not separated from God. We are with Him forever.

Psalm 56:3

When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.

John 14:27

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. “

Romans 15:13

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

Acts 3:19-21

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, 20 and that he may send the Messiah, who has been appointed for you—even Jesus. 21 Heaven must receive him until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets.

Ephesians 3:16-19

16 I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. 17 Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. 18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. 19 May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

Revelation 1:17

Then he placed his right hand on me and said: “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last.”
